Independent contracting.

HCR Independent Contractors are highly valued and respected members of the HCR team. We support our Independent Contractors in all negotiations and strive to provide the best possible working relationships.

All client negotiations, scheduling and contracts are the responsibility of HCR. We provide our Contractors with the scope of work and client expectations for each project. We take the hassle out of development and allow you to concentrate on doing what you do best.

As an Independent Contractor you are free to set your own schedule, accept or decline assignments based on your needs and schedule, and decide exactly how much you wish to work and how much you want to make in a calendar year. At HCR we strive to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself.

The Independent Contractors currently working for HCR include some of the top Coding, DRG and APC professionals in the industry. Our Contractors are available to each other for support and resource. When HCR schedules meetings with all Contractors, all expenses for this meeting are the responsibility of HCR. The goal is to share information, ideas and concerns in a round table discussion. All active Contractors are invited to these meetings but are certainly not required to attend.

All professional fees and out of pocket expenses invoiced to HCR by Monday 10 a. ET. are paid that day. Checks will either be overnighted (Fed Ex), sent by ground mail (USPS) or direct deposited, according to the Contractor’s wishes.

Two travel agents with Martin Travel are designated to work with HCR Contractors on travel arrangements. All airfare (and many other expenses) can be direct billed to HCR when working through these agents.
